Doug Chasick Speaks at NAA 2011 in Las Vegas

Jun 15 2011 |

On June 23rd, from 10:45am-12:15pm, Doug Chasick, CallSource senior VP multifamily professional services, presents Undercover Boss Uncovered – Lessons Learned.

Well-known in the multifamily industry as “The Apartment Doctor,” Chasick has more than 36 years of investment real estate experience. He began his career as the resident manager of a 524-unit apartment property and has been the president or CEO of five real estate companies, responsible for the portfolios of more than 28,000 apartments. A nationally recognized speaker and author, Chasick is a senior instructor member of the NAAIE Faculty.

In Undercover Boss Uncovered, Chasick will show participants how to be the change agent in their company and will give them the tools and techniques to make it happen. Upon return to their workplace, participants will be able to further engage their employees, increase employee retention, more effectively communicate with their employees and create, manage and maintain a nurturing corporate culture.

"Wouldn't it be great if your boss appeared on 'Underover Boss' and learned how their employees really felt about them and the company? I can't make that happen but I will share what a dozen bosses learned and the changes they made - internally and externally. This session will show you how you can be the change agent in your company and give you the tools and techniques to make it happen. Upon return to their workplace, participants will be able to further engage their employees, increase employee retention, more effectively communicate with their employees and create, manage and maintain a nurturing corporate culture. This will be accomplished by reviewing the lessons learned during several seasons of 'Undercover Boss', refocusing on the basics of communication, relationships and recognition and implementing simple yet effective techniques that will be shared in this session."

Bosses matter!

• More than 95 percent of all people in the workforce have bosses, are bosses, or both.

• They set the tone for their followers and organizations.

• Many studies show that for more than 75% of employees, dealing with their immediate boss is the most stressful part of the job.

• Lousy bosses can kill you—literally. A 2009 Swedish study tracking 3,122 men for ten years found that those with bad bosses suffered 20 to 40 percent more heart attacks than those with good bosses.
